St. Andrew's Society of the East Bay Burns Supper

The St. Andrews Society of the East Bay 2024 Burns Supper, celebrating the life and works of Scotland’s Bard – Robert Burns (1759 – 1796).

Please register absolutely no later than 10:00am on February 16, so that we can arrange for the correct number of meals.

This year this fun evening will once again be held at the Callippe Preserve in Pleasanton. The date is February 23, 2024. No host Bar starting at 5:30pm, with dinner and toasts beginning at 6:30pm.

We can promise fine food, friends and lots of toasts, Oh, and don’t forget your dancing shoes.

Tickets are only $60.00 each, with a $5.00 discount for members in good standing. Tables will be a maximum of 8 guests and ticket sales will be limited to a total of 80.

This is a fun filled evening of Scottish Culture, Music and Dance! The ticket price includes a three-course dinner including  soup; choice of chicken dish; haggis, neeps and tatties; or a vegetarian dish; followed by dessert. You will be entertained by the talented members and friends of the Society as they toast the King, The President, Absent Friends, the Lasses, and anything else that they can think of. A highlight will, of course be the Immortal memory of Robert Burns. After all the food and toasts, join us for some ceilidh dancing! Even if you are a novice, we will soon having you joining in to a “Dashing White Sergeant” or Strip the Willow”. Callippe will also provide a no-host bar with a good selection of single malt, blended whiskies and other adult and non-alcoholic beverages.

A unique code is required for the member discount, if you are a member of good standing, please contact Nikki at treasurer@standrewseastbay.org. Codes are not transferable and can only be used once.

Dress code is Scottish casual: Lasses, if you have a wee bit of tartan to add to your outfit, you will fit right in; Men, a kilt and casual shirt is perfect, or pants, if your legs are not up to our exacting standards!  Please, no denim. We are not that casual!. We welcome both couples and singles. Non-members are very welcome to come to the supper.  Anyone 14 and older welcome.
